    • Do I need to take a pre-appointment antibiotic (premed) before my appointment?

Although only recommended in a few circumstances, this determination should be made by your medical doctor. If so, the typical premedication is taken one hour prior to your appointment:

      • 2 grams of Amoxicillin or 600mg of Clindamycin (if allergic to Penicillin)

    • Is there a difference between crowns?

Yes, there are significant differences between crowns. Here at Sherman Dental, we use only the highest quality all-ceramic materials so your teeth continue to look natural. Many low quality crowns will result in an unsightly black line around the edges and are a concern for those who may develop metal allergies.

    • What if I don't have dental insurance?

Dental insurance is not a requirement to be a patient in our office. For those who qualify and may need financial assistance, we offer simple payment plans to make your dental needs affordable.

    • What if I have an emergency when the office is closed?
No need to worry, we make sure you have access to care. As a patient of record you will have the ability to call Dr. Sherman on his private mobile phone number or at home.
    • Do you see children?

We always make an effort to keep your family together. However, the needs of a child are unique and they may be better cared for by a Pediatric Dentist.

    • Do you take insurance?
We are currently contracted with Delta Dental and United Concordia. We will be more than happy to submit with other insurance companies although you may incur an additional Out of Network fee from your insurance provider.
